Data collected · How listings are sourced
A dental checkup screens for decay, gum disease and other oral problems, and usually includes scaling to remove hardened plaque. MOH benchmarks scaling at $35 to $60, and CHAS clinics charge $20 to $40. Most adults generally need a checkup every six to twelve months.

Frequently asked questions
- How much does dental scaling cost in Singapore?
- MOH benchmarks scaling at $35 to $60, and CHAS clinics charge $20 to $40.
- How often should adults get a dental checkup?
- Most adults generally need a checkup every six to twelve months.
- Does CHAS cover dental implants?
- No. The CHAS dental subsidy schedule contains exactly 18 procedures and none of them is a dental implant; implants and orthodontic treatment are both entirely absent from the CHAS dental schedule.
- Can I use MediSave for wisdom tooth extraction?
- Only if the extraction is surgical and appears on MOH's Table of Surgical Procedures — CPF's own guidance names wisdom tooth surgery as an example of a MediSave-claimable procedure, but a routine, non-surgical extraction is not MediSave-claimable.
- Is CHAS Green eligible for dental subsidies?
- No. CHAS Green does not appear anywhere in MOH's dental subsidy table; only CHAS Orange, CHAS Blue, Merdeka Generation and Pioneer Generation cardholders receive the published dental subsidy amounts.
- Can I use MediSave for braces, crown fittings, or dentures?
- No. CPF states directly that non-surgical dental services — including tooth extractions, crown fittings, dentures, and orthodontic braces — are not covered by MediSave.

- Scaling and polishing are each subsidised up to twice a year under the CHAS dental schedule that took effect 1 October 2025.
